I never expected the barge room to be so comfortable, the boat so lovely, the food so utterly fantastic, the scenery so beautiful, the history we learned so amazing, and the weather turned out better than expected. Win win!

I was actually rather surprised that the rooms on the barge were larger than I expected, as well as the bathrooms. This was my first bike tour ever, and I had a wonderful experience. In fact, now I have the "bug" and will strive to take a bike tour once a year (depending on my budgeting, of course!)

This was a beautiful route - I had no idea how gorgeous Kentucky is. In addition to spectacular views, the roads were not heavily trafficked. The additional activities (horse farm, race track, occasional distillery) were all great.

Beyond my expectations. The organization was fantastic, support was great, and above all, it was such a great group of women to spend time with. Everyone was so positive, supportive and friendly.

It was even better than last year's Southern Tier!

Though the daily miles were not as long as other epic tours, the amount of climbing, road conditions, and some traffic kept this ride a challenge. Rolling along on a crisp morning through the Avenue of the Giants was breathtaking! The farmlands and Pacific Coast, especially the scenic Oregon coast, all truly magnificent! I loved it all!

I initially signed up for the tour with the attitude that it was going to be a consolation prize for not being able to do the Colorado tour. I decided that staying close to home would be a good idea. The tour turned out to be a gift in itself and not a consolation prize at all. I had so much fun riding and hanging with the ladies. Totally loved the hotels. The picnic lunches need to be renamed "mid-day feasts."
